A client who had partnered with Edge Training in rolling out a sponsored learnership for disabled youths wanted to claim absorption points through providing the learners with employment. Unfortunately, the client did not have capacity to employ the learners at the end of the learnership. Edge was able to provide a solution through absorbing the learners into Vuka Ukhanye Cleaning Company, enabling them all to become employed. Vuka Ukhanye is a 100% black, female-owned company that has been operationally assisted by Edge since their establishment.
